Note to Michael

It brought tears to my eyes when I read The life story of my book One More Day is more than a book: its people

It shows me a man who had been there, done that.  A man who had tasted what success is all about.  A man who loves and is being loved.  A man who has been holding on to a dream …  to one day write a book.

Somehow, along the way, a traumatic event took place.  The dream stopped.  The man stopped … being the person that he was meant to be.

Although life dealt you a heavy blow, it gave you a loving wife who never for once doubted you.  That is true love ... treasure her.  You have been blessed with four beautiful children.   Your wife and children loved you despite all the setbacks.  You are truly blessed.  Not all men have that.  Some people are successful but may not have a loving wife and children … and all that success and money is nothing compared to the love and warmth that your family gives you.

The “terrible thoughts” you mentioned is just self-sabotage doing its number on you.  When we are down, we see ourselves as victims.  Our self-pity can work against us as it makes us weak and it gives us an excuse to be down and out and we can remain that way … until we wake up.

You are also blessed to have this childhood friend who told you to develop the habit of winning again.  I really like that phrase and will remember it whenever I feel down, develop the habit of winning again.  Michael, to have such a friend, you are indeed blessed.  This friend is a treasure.

“I develop a positive state of mind.  The state of your life is nothing more than a reflection of  your state of  mind.”  Dr Wayne W Dyer

See, what happens when you have positive thoughts and start living your life to your true purpose?  Positive thoughts attract positive opportunities and vice versa.  Everything starts to beautifully fall into place … you asked … and out of nowhere, someone appeared to help you edit your story.

Stay positive, Michael.  56 is just a number.  You are never too old to have a dream and to live the life that you were meant to live.  With a loving wife and family, I don’t see any reason how or why you cannot succeed. You are already a winner with these kind of blessings.

Stay positive.  Be happy.  Each day count all the blessings that you have. Be grateful.   Keep yourself healthy.  Heal yourself ... keep the cobwebs away from your mind.

Believe in yourself.  Your family believe in you.  Your friends believe in you.  But if you do not believe in yourself, it won’t work.  Your wife is right ... do it for yourself, do it for your kids to set as an example.

Make it happen.  Ask and you will be given.   You are a kind man … people will not hold back to give and to help.  Kindness begets kindness.  You just have to ask.  Know that you are not alone.

I hope these words will keep you inspired, my friend.  There will be other setbacks but you've been there and you know how to get out.  Don't ever, ever give up!  Just remember your family and remember the "habit of winning again" and you will win every time.

And one other thing, Michael, love yourself ... you have the right to be here and you are loved.  It's alright to have fallen, Michael.  It has made you stronger.   Everything will be alright.

You can win again, Michael!  You WILL win.  Have faith in yourself.
