Miss Piggy's Quotes

The glamorous Miss Piggy
with Christopher Knight and Kermit the Frog
during the 2006 TV Land Awards

"From moi, to you," as Miss Piggy would have said.

Miss Piggy is one of Jim Henson's Muppets.  She is the pig character who is very much convinced that she is destined to be a star, and strongly believes that nothing can come in her way.  She is usually charming and somewhat demure, but when feels insulted, she would throw a violent fit and give karate chops to whoever offended her.  She is also hopelessly in love with Kermit the Frog, who is usually at the receiving end of her karate chops, or her kisses, depending in whichever mood she happens to be.

That famous book written by Miss Piggy

You can read Miss Piggy's biography here.   She even wrote a book, Miss Piggy's Guide To Life which became the New York Times bestseller in 1981 for 29 weeks.  This book is quite a comprehensive guide, topics covering on absolutely everything, ranging from beauty, depression, dieting, romance, success and also a Q&A section where she answered questions from her adoring fans.  Catch a glimpse of her on The Muppets official website.

Miss Piggy is a legend in her own right and I believe, must be one of the earliest diva that had ever lived.  I love her confidence and her go-getter attitude.  She is comfortable in her own skin, interesting and do not care a heck what others think of her.  Here are some of her famous lines:-

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and it may become necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye."
"How far should a girl go on the first date?  Tucson.  However, if you live in Texas, you can probably go a bit farther."
"Is there a cure for a broken heart?  Only time can heal your broken heart, just as time can heal his broken arms and legs!"
"When you are in love with someone you want to be near him all the time except when you are out buying things and charging them to him."
"There is only one gift you should accept on your first date -- diamonds."
"Never wash your hair with anything you'd hesitate to eat or drink."
"Smart cooks realize that the easiest cookbook to use is the Yellow Pages and the handiest appliance in the kitchen is the telephone."
"It is often said that cooking is an art, but I have had very few  meals that I would hang on my wall."
"Express your feelings all the time unless you're trying to hide something."

I hope these Miss Piggy's quotes had made you smile today and bring back some happy memories.

  1. Ha! Very fun! I'm enjoying a book right now titled "All I Really Need to Know I learned from Watching Star Trek." Our favorite TV shows are full of life wisdom!

  2. Thank you, Galen, for dropping by. Life lessons are all around us and sometimes from the least expected places ... if only we bother to take note.
